Complex Kia Dealership in Montreal is making a difference by helping young people by practicing soccer.

Dominate change with Complexe Kia!

On August 21, 2015, Kia Canada kicked off its fifth annual Dominate Change initiative, following the success of its association with national sport and soccer last year. Kia Canada in partnership with the three teams of the Canadian Soccer Line (MLS) - Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal - will once again have free soccer camps to help underprivileged kids develop their soccer skills, giving them confidence, having them interact with positive role models and allowing them to have fun playing one of the fastest growing team sports in Canada. In addition, for the second year in a row, Kia Canada, in collaboration with its commercial partners and 188 national dealers, will conduct the national soccer equipment collection. This initiative aims to raise donations of new or slightly used soccer equipment to involve more young people and provide the resources needed to play the sport. The collection will take place from August 21st to September 30th at Kia Dealers across Canada.

"Kia Canada and its dealers are proud to make a difference by continuing to help youth by playing soccer by giving them the opportunity to participate in free clinics offered in collaboration with our partners," said MMK Kim, President and CEO. CEO of Kia Canada Inc. "Kia dealers, including our employees and business partners, are also helping disadvantaged youth through our second annual national equipment drive. The donations raised will allow young people from across Canada to play soccer. "

Earlier in July, Kia, along with the Vancouver Whitecaps and the Vancouver Police Service (VPS), set up a four-day Pee Wee Soccer School at no charge. This initiative allowed more than 300 young people in the area to play soccer and develop their skills and confidence with VPS volunteers. Kia Canada directly supported the VPS’s "Spike Program", which provides city youth with new soccer shoes early in the fall before the new season begins.

Yesterday, at the Kia Training Center in Toronto, Kia Canada and the MLSE Foundation launched the fourth edition of KickStart, including an eight-week soccer program in 15 Toronto Community Housing communities. More than 300 youth ages 6 to 12 participated in the program to develop their skills, confidence, sportsmanship and leadership.

Finally, in partnership with the Montreal Impact, Kia will organize a free soccer clinic at Stade Saputo on August 24th. Coaches and Impact staff will teach the basics of soccer to youth participants.

About Dominate Change Kia Canada Inc.'s primary social responsibility since its inception in 2010, Dominating Change has had a major impact in communities across Canada. Canadians have made a difference by coordinating food drives, helping out at a local shelter, helping clean up public parks, and helping make Change the Day a reality. As a long-time partner of M.A.D.D. Canada, Kia Canada supports the National Curriculum and has been educating students about the importance of safe roads in communities across Canada. Dominating change means making a difference no matter the size of the initiative.

Employees from Kia Canada's regional offices and head office will participate in the second annual national soccer equipment event. The 188 dealerships of Canada's Kia Dealership Network will be participating in Dominate Change in 2015, clearly demonstrating the company's compassionate commitment to the initiative.
